I have had the privilege today to listen to the new album by Joy Williams. I have been selected to be able to review her album before it is actually available. The album is going to be officially available for purchase and listening starting from June 29, 2015. This is where it can be purchased –

I have listened to all of the songs in the album, and my favorites are “Welcome Home” (sounds just like Sarah Maclaughlan), and “The Dying Kind” (something Irish, Celtic, and even Oriental about this song, reminds me of Paula Abdul). There are lots more songs in the album that I liked – You Loved Me, Until the Levee, What a Good Woman Does. It is hard to describe the style of songs, but they are very original, beautifully done, and the singing i just amazing. I have never heard of Joy Williams before, but now I will definitely place her songs in my music collection. I find this style of passionate, emotional music definitely resonates with me, and I understand it well.
I participated in the Joy WIlliams Venus album review program as a member of One2One Network. I was provided an album to review but all opinions are my own.
