I have been showered with various items to review recently, which is great, because I love to cook at home, and it is so exciting to be trying out different products.

We are always in need of good brushes, and this product I am reviewing is actually a set of a julienne peeler and a brush. What a wonderful combination! I use these brushes a lot. Just a few years ago we had only old-fashioned brushes with bristles that would always come off. Now we have these new brushes with silicone heads that don’t let any oil stick to them, and they are indispensable in my kitchen. I mostly use these types of brushes to spread oil on my baking pans, or spread some oil or marinade on my meats or vegetables. Works great!

I love my new julienne peeler as well. So far I have only used it to peel some beets from my CSA box, but I am planning to make some pretty carrots and zucchini tomorrow! I think it is a great tool to have in the kitchen! It can do the job of a regular peeler, and a mandoline! It makes very nice fine peels of vegetables. It has a great ergonomic handle that can make peeling a fun activity instead of being a chore. I love it! It is a much easier peeler to use than the one I have been using so far at home. I also love the side little parts that can help to take out eyes in potatoes, or any rotten or dirty parts in root vegetables. No need to get your knife at all! Makes peeling fast and efficient!

This set sells on Amazon for $17.91 right now – what a great gift this will be for a homecook!
