I am excited to write a new post today about a Grubmarket fruit box that I have recently received and got to try! We love fruit in our family, and always have an abundance of fruit at home. When we shop in regular stores we stick to apples, watermelons and melons since these are the ultimate staples that we love to eat. However, it gets boring to always try out same old same old stuff, so we are always happy to get a pre-picked box full of fruit, some of which may be quite exotic or just things we rarely buy ourselves.

I love to be inspired by food boxes I get to create new dishes, and explore new ingredients. I tend to get tired of the regular produce, and love to try things that we don’t necessarily see every day. This is why this Grubmarket box is so special! For me, the box included a pomegranate, a pummelo, a box of dried figs, and a pineapple. While these can be found in almost every grocery store, it doesn’t necessarily mean that we buy them every time. This box gave me lots of inspiration and ideas of what to try out to cook next.

We have eaten most of the fruit that we got simply raw because we wanted to experience the unadulterated freshness of them. There are so many dishes that could be made with these though – I wouldn’t know where to start. I have asked my followers on Instagram to let me know what they love to make with fruit, and got lots of ideas for future posts for sure!

Do you have a favorite recipe that you make with fruit, and would like to see featured on my blog? Leave a comment under this blog post letting me know what fruits you love, and what you tend to make with them. If you want me to share a recipe with you – leave a comment with your request – what recipe would you like me to make, and I may pick it for my next feature!

Here is a little more about the box we got – it was a California Fruit Bounty Box from Grubmarket. It arrived in a box with shredded paper inside, no freezer or cooling packs. But with fruit this is all you really need – you don’t have to have a lot of refrigeration. The fruits we got were very good quality, and lasted for quite a few days without going bad.

  • Unbeatable prices:  While many food delivery services and premium grocers cater to high-income earners, GrubMarket is committed to making fresh and delicious food accessible to all people by keeping their prices consistently lower than all comparable grocers.
  • Convenience:  Through their reliable operations, GrubMarket is committed to providing people in food deserts (ie. areas without farmers’ markets and fresh grocery stores) with access to high-quality, freshly-harvested items that they would typically find at a farmers’ market or Whole Foods store.  Additionally, they offer free delivery across the U.S. for all orders above $59.
  • Food Discovery:  GrubMarket provides a platform for their partnering small farms and vendors to sell their items directly to customers.  Many of these food producers have challenges getting shelf space at grocery stores, and/or may not want to pay the upfront costs of hosting farmers’ market tables.  GrubMarket gives these food producers access to tens of thousands of customers through a robust online marketplace, regardless of the food producers’ production scale.

GrubMarket firmly believes that you, your family, and your friends should always have the opportunity to eat well, and that price should never be a barrier between you and healthy, delicious, and freshly-harvested food.  They are committed to providing you with the best grocery experience possible, by regularly offering you wholesome foods at wholesale prices.  They work with a variety of farms and artisan producers to bring you high-quality foods and other items at prices that are up to 50% OFF what you’d typically find at Whole Foods and other grocers.

If you are interested in getting a similar Grubmarket fruit box, I recommend using a coupon code GRUB20 for 20% off your first order and free shipping for orders over $59. Grubmarket has a lot of other great offers on their website – check it out!

I was so lucky I got to also participate in setting up a giveaway for one box to one lucky reader of mine – and here is the giveaway for you!
