I am somewhat new to the smoothie making process, and I am taking it in with baby steps. Recently I got to try a new product called Pure Goodness Protein powder available at http://mypuregoodness.com/, and my flavor that I got to check out is Pumpkin Seed Protein.
Protein powder is a simple ingredient that you can easily add to your smoothie to make it a lot more nutritious. Just having sugary fruits in there may not be the best option, and simple soy milk with fruits may not be very filling. Protein powder is a great ingredient to try in a smoothie in order to get all those necessary energy to go on through with your day, especially for a morning breakfast, or an afternoon snack.

Have you ever tried Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder by Pure Goodness Proteins?

One great point about protein powder is that you don’t have to consume meat to get the benefits of proteins. Sometimes when I am looking for a healthy dish, or snack, I have this boxed thinking of raw food, or meat, and it doesn’t have to be that. While it is great to eat clean food, like Paleo people did, we should also embrace the technology of today, and try to consume more plant-based ingredients that are full of protein, like Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder as an example. I find the taste and the flavor of it to be great, and I am still not used to having smoothies very often, so this is one barrier for me to remember – you don’t have to always have a bagel with lox for breakfast.

An interesting tidbit fact about protein powder is that it has everything you need for a healthy diet. It is much easier to digest. Plant-based protein powder is actually one of those superfoods we hear so much about. It is a healthy option for a meal, an alternative to all those things that are not all that good for us.

Pure Goodness products are gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free and vegan and paleo friendly. This company also gives back 1% of sales to communities that need this the most.
Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder Smoothie
Today I made a smoothie with some Pure Goodness Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder, some matcha green tea, and adding soy milk, and some cocoa nibs on top! Like my mother likes to say – add whatever you have on hand!

Other than smoothies, one other great way to enjoy pumpkin protein powder is substitution one scoop of flour you would normally use in your recipe for the protein powder! This way any breakfast recipe you want to make will become extra nutritious!
