I know I post daily fashion updates on my blog – have you seen them? But as for me, I don’t like to spend all I’ve got on clothing. In fact, I only shop for clothing about 1-2 times a year, if that often. I have purchased lots of clothing a long time, and now I am simply wearing those down. This is how my family has raised me, and what I am used to doing – I am pretty modest in what I wear, and how much I spend on clothing. Another reason for this is that sometimes I just cannot find completely comfortable clothing to wear that I can wear without pangs of remorse. I often feel a bit guilty wearing clothing made in sweat shops. I like to talk about equality, and fairness in trade, and ability to reward people fairly for what they do, and yet when it comes to clothing, often times, I tend to close my eyes, and just go with what is available for the price I can afford.
This should not be the case. I also don’t want to wear clothing that falls apart on me after a third wash, clothing that is made by people who are not getting the pay they deserve for their hard labor. How do you overcome all that today? I am glad I have found a brand I can wear, and trust that puts both my comfort as the priority, as well as the comfort of people producing the clothing without any compromises. I feel comfortable wearing beautifully designed, organic cotton clothing, and the people who have spent time making it are paid fairly – prAna clothing is Fair Trade Certified.
I have received two prAna products for a review – and I love both pieces. One is a heather gray Mariette Dress, and the other one is a black Devan Henley hoodie. Both clothing pieces are exactly my style, what I love to wear, and feel so super comfy! These will make for such an awesome gift for yourself, or someone special in your life – with no guilt whatsoever!
