If you are looking for a quick and easy treat using simple ingredients - try this old world recipe to find a new favorite!
  • 2 cans of Pillsbury crescent dough
  • 50 g of ghee or clarified butter (if you don't have this ingredient, you can use melted butter as well)
  • ½ cup of granulated sugar
  • ½ cup of flour
  • eggwash - 1 egg mixed with water
  1. Preheat oven at 375 degrees.
  2. Mix ghee (or butter if that is what you are using) with sugar and flour. The consistency you will get will be similar to strudel crumbs.
  3. Open up Pillsbury crescent dough into triangles and spread them on 2 trays.
  4. Place approximately ½ Tbsp of the strudel mix into the middle of the crescent roll.
  5. Carefully roll the dough, trying to keep all of the strudel inside, and making a crescent shape.
  6. Paste eggwash on top of the crescents to get that golden glow.
  7. Sprinkle a small pinch of strudel mix on top of the crescent
  8. Bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 9 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
