I cannot believe this week is Cinco de Mayo celebration! I am SOOO excited! I will be actually partying this week with a new #TwitterParty with Avocados from Mexico on Friday – Join the #GuacIt #gno Twitter party on 5/5 (1-3 pm ET) to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! http://bit.ly/2oNQZzn. I got so inspired, I want to make a celebration menu, and include a few options for salsa recipes.
Have you seen my 28 best avocado recipes I have compiled a few months ago? This will be super useful for this weekend if you are going to throw a Cinco de Mayo party at home and would like to try out a few new avocado recipes.
Today I wanted to think about some new salsa ideas for what to make for this weekend. I have a few recipes that I usually make that are pretty simple and traditional for our family – I will share them some time on this blog. But today I wanted to get some inspiration from my fellow food bloggers to get their ideas of what they recommend to make.
When you go through the recipes you will notice a slight desserty slant to it – I am not sure why that is exactly. It could be because I have a sweet tooth. It might be because I am always craving some new dessert ideas. Another reason I am thinking – salsa usually includes tomatoes which are fruits, so switching tomatoes for some other fruits is a natural progression of this recipe, I suppose, and it works oh so well! You absolutely have to try these recipes using some of your favorite fruits, and there are also maybe a few new recipes to try to improve on your regular salsa that you are used to making.
I almost forgot – I actually do have one recipe of Blueberry Salsa that I published on the blog before served with Blueberry marinated steak – this dish is amazing! I hope you enjoy these, and the other recipes I have got here, and make sure to scroll to the very bottom for a sweet surprise!

To be honest, I don’t like salsa. Perhaps my favorite would be a chocolate dip that is called “chocolate salsa” because it resembles salsa? I wouldn’t want any actual salsa in it, though.
I guess I am just a traditional salsa kinda gal because the 5 Minute Restaurant Salsa from @The_Chunky_Chef looks and sounds like the one that would be my favorite.
My favorite recipe is the Pineapple Salsa.
I must say I have never made salsa I just buy it premade from the groc store
I love pico de gallo so much. I love when my veggies and herbs come in enough that I can make it fresh from my garden.
My favorite salsa is the one my wife makes, it come fresh from our garden which makes a huge difference in flavor.
Love salsa, I love mexican food!
I don’t any recipes, but I love mango salsa
I love mango habernero salsa
The Salsa from Chili’s is my favorite kind!
My husband loves Salsa, but most of them gives me the heartburn, so he basically makes his own from scratch and puts it on everything. It does look good, but can’t take the heartburn!!

I like the pineapple salsa recipe! My best tip is to not add too many ingredients 🙂

Oh no! I am sorry about that, hope you enjoy other recipes on the blog!
I make a pretty standard salsa, but I like it chunky like a pico de gallo.
I make my own salsa with everything from the garden. I use sweet cherry peppers to make it mild.
