This fall happened suddenly. I cannot believe how fast the summer went by, and now that the older children are at school, we are gearing up with our toddler, thinking up activities to do. Right now she is just over 3 years old, and is starting to develop great interest in organized activities. She has lots of patience, and ability to focus on her task, and is very excited to learn new things and experiment.

Currently, we are teaching our toddler some fun activities and skills that she can build on, helping to decorate cakes, preparing for fall celebrations, and learning about our family traditions.

This week we had a big plan to pack lots of activities in, and get excited about holidays coming up. It’s all about Halloween, and fall with pumpkins and sweet treats.

I am glad I was able to go to Albertsons and stock up on my favorite products. These ones are things we often buy to save some time in the kitchen, especially when we are in a rush. I like the idea of being able to cook from scratch every day and every night, but in our house, most of the time this is simply not possible to do. So, we end up improvising things, but I am so glad there are great solutions available to save time.
Albertsons has some incredible deals available in the store. There are tons of deals that you can find, and I always use a lot of coupons that I find in newspaper flyers, and end up saving money. Another great tool for savings money is the Albertsons app that you can download on your smartphone. You can find savings in the app that are sometimes not available in a printed format, so be sure to get the app and don’t miss out on those deals!
Here is what we got in our haul:

I am glad I went to shop for this sale as I was able to save on so many meals! A lot of the times when we are in a rush, or we had a very long day, we sometimes resort to going out just to save time or energy. Weekends are also very difficult as we pack them with activities far away from home, and then end up having to go out as that is an easier option.

One tip that we were able to use this week - instead of going out early morning right after breakfast, driving around the city and spending money on the weekends, we are trying to stay organized, and stay put at home until after lunch. That way we get to eat both breakfast and lunch at home, instead of just breakfast, and spending over $75-130 for lunch most other weekends. We can usually feed the whole family for a week for the same amount that we end up spending for just one meal when we go out.

Betty Crocker™ Hamburger Helpers have been great this week for us - turned out this is the most favorite food ever for both my husband, and two of my older kids - I am not complaining as the cost for this meal is very low, and all I need to add is meat, and it makes for the whole meal to have! We had beef Hamburger Helper for dinner one night with Ritz crackers. Then I made a turkey Hamburger Helper for lunch on Sunday, and everything was pretty much licked off the plate. We were all very energetic for the rest of the day of fun, and ended up going to a pumpkin patch to pick up some pumpkins, and everyone was excited, and full till dinner time.

One other activity we got to do this week was building a little graham cracker house with Betty Crocker™ Whipped Frosting. My toddler absolutely loved this activity! She loves building things, and who wouldn’t love building a cookie house! We are practicing for building gingerbread houses later on this year, and we didn’t use any candy this time. Very soon after building the first floor of the house the building party was over, and the little girl started licking off the frosting and eating her cookies - I don’t blame her, it looks delicious!

Another dessert we ended up making this week was yummy brownies with Betty Crocker™ Brownie Mix. I love how gooey they turn out in the center, and crispy on the outside - what a treat! These brownies are so simple to make, and you don’t need to turn on your fancy mixer, I just mixed everything up with a good ole spoon, so simple I almost feel guilty making and eating it - this is too good!

What is our every day like here? It’s about playing outside, reading books, doing projects with our little toddler when the older kids are at school. The day goes by so quickly when we are studying something with her, or playing with her toys, I often forget it’s lunchtime. Then I start panicking what to make quickly. Annie’s™ Natural Mac & Cheese helped me this week, I am glad I had it on hand. I prepared a plate for my toddler with some bacon, and apple slices to accompany the mac and cheese - she was so happy with her plate of lunch!

What would you recommend making out of these products from this sale? What is your go to product out of this lineup, what do you like to cook for your families? Share your advice in comments with us!

I wish we still had an Albertson’s around here. They closed last year.

What some absolutely amazing time to stock up on your staples and I can’t believe they are giving away a years worth of shopping, that is going to change someones life!
Albertsons sounds like a great place to shop. I love to stock up on all the essentials when there is a good sale. I will have to look for a location near me.
There’s not an Albertson’s near where I live (New York State). If memory serves me correctly, I used to go shopping at one in Texas with my sister. Always had a great selection of a variety of things. Wish the chain would put some up our way.
We don’t have an Albertson’s here, but it sounds like a great place to shop and earn rewards. The products on the list are many we use in our home!
I always enjoy grocery shopping every week. Its my relaxation plus adulting work and its nice to be updated with sales and new products.
We don’t have an Albertson’s by where we live, but I agree we always get those same special things for the particular seasons! My son loves his cheerios too! Thanks for sharing!
